Amen to that. How do you cope with schedules like this?
Kinakaya ko na lang. Kailangan eh. Kailangang magtrabaho!
We hope this doesn’t feel much like work, though. We hear tapings like the one you just came from are insane.
Kanina galing kaming Tagaytay. We packed up at 2 a.m., I even got wet from the rain. I had to take a bath when I got home. I was able to sleep at 4 a.m. kasi pinatuyo ko pa yung hair ko. I woke up at 9 a.m.—that’s our call time for this shoot! I got here one hour late.

Oo nga eh, pero sobrang sorry talaga ako.
You’ve lost weight and we think you look better than ever.
Payat kasi puyat. Ha ha! Nagka-carbs naman ako, pero hindi marami unlike before. Siguro kasi dati bata pa ako noon. Ngayon tumatanda na ako eh. Kung magkakalaman ako, hindi ako magmumukhang mature, which is kind of required sa show. Dun sa role ko kasi parang mas bagay na payat ako with Michael De Mesa kasi pag pinartner ako sa kanya, pag medyo may laman, magmumukha akong bagets.
You can easily switch between characters, anyway. Like the youthful gal you often portray on Bubble Gang.
Ha ha! Ayun, nung Summer Special ng Bubble Gang, nagpapayat talaga ako kasi kasama ko sina Sam [Pinto], Gwen [Zamora], at Ellen [Adarna]. It’s also because of that kaya nag-boxing ako every day for a month. Kinareer ko rin yung ibang sports like scuba diving at swimming nang todotodo. No rice din yun. Pero ngayon nag-ra-rice na ako ulit.
Do you still work out? Where? We mean, how often?
Ngayon hindi na kasi wala na talagang time. As in MWF yung schedule namin, minsan paiba-iba pa. Minsan nga hindi rin ako nakakapag-taping for Bubble Gang eh. On my days off, usually tulog lang ako.
But that hasn’t always been the case, especially before you started taping for this new show. How did you spend your long vacation?
Mostly I just stayed home, with my dogs. Gusto ko sanang mag-aral kaso hindi ko alam kung gaano katagal bago ako mabigyan ng project nun ulit. In those eight months, nag-travel din ako—nagpunta ako sa Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong. Marami rin naman akong napuntahan nung mga panahong yun.
What do you miss most about having a relaxed schedule?
Having time with my family. Kasi ngayon—katulad minsan dumating yung mom ko; my dad lives with me pero hindi ko na sila napapansin— pagdating ko tulog na lang, gigising ako taping na ulit. So wala akong time talaga, even sa dogs ko.
But like you said, kailangang magtrabaho. Please tell us more about your new afternoon soap.
It’s called Kasalanan Bang Ibigin Ka? Very interesting yung story niya, sobrang daming twist. Maganda yung role ko. Challenging kasi mas mature. Mag-ama kasi sina Geoff Eigenmann at Michael De Mesa, and I have an affair with both of them without knowing that. Sobrang blessed kasi magagaling yung mga katrabaho ko.
